Today’s Inspiration:
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”Hebrews 4:12 NIV
God’s word is able to divide our soul and spirit because emotions and feelings can get in the way of godly wisdom, knowledges and understanding. Anger can quench the move of the Holy Spirit and healing. Emotional decisions are likely bad decisions but wise decision comes from the Lord and His word by the Holy Spirit.
When we see the doctor, he can’t just look at our external structure or outlook but the truth of diagnosis is in the blood to detect the root cause of the sickness, illness or disease. Likewise spiritual causes require spiritual roots to be exposed like hidden sins, iniquities, fears, traumas, abuses and transgressions. Matthew 15:13 Our mind can be overthinking, procrastinating, and worrying because of external things which causes mental distress. This obstructs our hearts to hear the voice of God. Romans 10:17 Hence the Word keeps our heart close to God so that our mind is closed to distractions and deception. This increases our faith, hope, and love in God.
Prayer: O Lord our God, may the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be focus on your Word which brings wisdom, discernment and clarity to my soul. May your divine revelation brings forth inward transformation within my spirit man and renew my mind with the joy of your salvation and soundness in Christ Jesus. All the promises from your Word are Yes and Amen! May all glory be unto you and grant us a new mind, heart and spirit, in Jesus Name, Amen.
