Today’s Inspiration:
“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.”Psalms 24:3-4 NIV
The greatest idol is our pride, the lust of our flesh and eyes. 1 John 2:16 Why is it that pride is the hardest sin to overcome or detect? It is because pride has no guilt and it begins with comparison and putting oneself over others. Without self awareness and conviction of Holy Spirit, we will not be aware of our own pride, which puts our victories higher than our vulnerabilities.
God’s word changes our hearts and our actions. He is not looking at how big our ministry is but how obedient we are to His voice and instructions. Only clean hands and pure hearts can please Him. The psalmist says,”Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the Lord; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.”Psalms 15:1-5 Let’s all be mindful of these things and repent to make changes.
Prayer: O Lord my God, your word is holy, pure and righteous. Lead me to walk closer with you and teach me your ways to ascend to Zion, the highway of holiness. Blot me off any transgressions, cleanse me off all sins and crucify all pride at the Cross. Forgive me if I have been prideful to my love ones or workplaces. Only you, your spirit and word can transform me. Change my heart O Lord, and give me a new heart like yours. Remove the old stony one and make me a new creation with humility, in Jesus Name, Amen.
