Today’s Inspiration:
“Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”Luke 5:31-32 NIV
We all are familiar with medical care but few realise that we need soul care more importantly. Healing of our bodies is needed in the aging population but few realised in nursing homes, more than half have dementia and mental wellness is badly needed. This is due to the stress, anxieties, isolation and fears of modern society.
Without Christ, we will not have renewal of the mind. You can find cure for ailments, sickness and wounds on the body but how do you find cure for mind, the soul and emotions? Romans 12:2 Repentance is key for the healing of the mind and it is not just saying a few words of prayer but to deal with the wounds of the soul and brokenness of the heart. Psalm 147:3 Pride and self righteousness are obstacles to healing. Humility and the fear of the Lord open up our minds to Christ to cleanse and sanctify our soul in the forgiveness of our sins, binding up our wounds.
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are the way, the truth and the life. You know our past, present and future. You are the author and finisher of our faith. Let every wounds of the past be surrendered to you and let every infirmities be given to you at the wondrous Cross that took all my sins, iniquities, and transgressions. Release thy spirit of love, power and a sound mind, in Jesus Name, Amen.
