Today’s Inspiration:
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”Proverbs 9:10 NIV
We will not fully understand the Holiness of God until we have the reverence of God. The sure evidence of the Holy Spirit is divine transformation of a person’s attitude, character and behaviour, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in Christlikeness. This is not the work of human efforts or false religiosity or hypocrisy. It is the divine work of the Holy Spirit bringing conviction, correction and changes in a human soul for spiritual growth and maturity.
Humility is the fear of the Lord; its wages are riches and honor and life. Proverbs 22:4 NIV If one put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then, free of fault, you will lift up your face; you will stand firm and without fear. You will surely forget your trouble, recalling it only as waters gone by. Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor. Job 11:14-19 Therefore when we fear God, we will not fear man or the devil.
Prayer: O Lord my God, you are worthy to be reverence and the fear of the Lord is my divine portion of holiness of Christlikeness. May the word of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing to you. Guide me to walk in your ways and be led by your Holy Spirit daily that my life will be an evidence and witness of my saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. May I do all things for the glory of God in honour and praise to you, in Jesus Name, Amen.
