Today’s Inspiration:

“If you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent, then, free of fault, you will lift up your face; you will stand firm and without fear.”Job 11:14-15 NIV

Battling sin is a spiritual warfare and it demands total surrender to God, obedience to His word and building a close relationship with Christ by yielding to Holy Spirit. In the end of times, the strongest sin is lukewarmness because of idolatry, self centredness and pride. We no longer put God first. Our pursuance to the world, wealth and own busyness is more important than desiring prioritizing time with God in closer relationship.

Therefore do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17 The devil greatest trap is the world but God’s greatest liberation is His Kingdom through Christ Jesus, who gives us His Spirit and life. The moment we don’t need to pray daily, devote to His word, and talk to God being fully dependent on Him reveals lukewarmness, a gentle slope to destruction. Do not be surprise that one can do ministry or being a pastor can be lukewarm. We need God’s refining fire daily in sanctification to renew our minds, restore our soul and revive our spirit.

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me if I had placed anything more important than you. Pull down every idols and strongholds that is blocking my relationship with you. Remove all my sins and dross, for my self righteousness and religiosity are filthy rags. Blot me out of my transgression and deliver me out of any lukewarmness. Pour your Holy Spirit upon me daily Lord with your word which is like fire. May the lamps of our Spirit burn day and night for Christ, in Jesus Name, Amen.
