Today’s Inspiration:

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP

Being born again is not a work of man but the work of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is not a status or symbol of Christianity but a life time attitude of humility, obedience and teachability in Christlikeness. It’s a deep inward spiritual formation which produces an outward manifestation of spiritual fruitfulness. Galatians 5:22-23 The greatest enemy may not be just the devil but the flesh that has to be taken to the Cross. The glamorous outlook of the Church can never replace the deep personal convictions, corrections and changes of our character by the Holy Spirit. This is the true and full glory of God, never a credit of man or self righteousness.

Prayer: O Lord my God, your word is the lamp to my feet and light to my path. Guide me with your Spirit and ignite me with your fire of holiness. Change and mould me, make me your vessel and wine skin that I can be empty of the world and be filled to the fullness of your joy and oil, in Jesus Name, Amen.
