Today’s Inspiration:

“Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.”Psalms 71:18 NIV

Today the greatest weakness in the family is parenting and the greatest need in the Kingdom is discipling. They are deeply related. God’s plan is not temporal but eternal; it is not about ourselves only but generational, for He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Our God is a family, a triune Godhead of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Genesis 1:26

There is no degree in parenting and no graduation in discipling. Why? It is transformational. The best hand book and God’s manual for life in these both areas is the Bible. Every Christian parent needs to disciple their children just as they are discipled by the Word. It can’t be outsourced to the church, the pastor and Sunday school. Why? Discipleship is life to life, walking in Christlikeness. Luke 9:23 We learn to repent, love, forgive, and show grace and mercy to one another through Christ. Relationship with God, self and others is the cornerstone of our spirituality, growth and maturity. There are too many families that need healing because of family dysfunction. And only Jesus can heal the wounds, by the power of the Holy Spirit and Word. With God, nothing is impossible.

Prayer: O Lord my God, we pray for our nation and all parents to turn to you, Abba Father God. We repent for any wrong ways of parenting and negligence to discipling the family according to your Word. Let us rebuild our families to be strong through biblical parenting and the discipleship of your Word and your Spirit to mould and change us in Christlikeness. May every Christian home and parents bear the fruit of the Spirit, beginning with myself in a deeper relationship with you, in Jesus Name, Amen.
