Today’s Inspiration: “Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”John 5:14 NIV
Do not take our health for granted or given, especially for the healing or miracles of the Lord. We have to guard our heart, our mind and our mouth from sin. Proverbs 4:23 It is one thing to recover, it is another to maintain. That’s why it is easier to disciple a new believer than to bring back a backslider. Wisdom speaks,”As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.”Proverbs 26:11 NIV
The word from our Lord strongly advocate that there is an accountability to the work of His grace. How can we maintain our healing? Is it biblical? Absolutely. You want to continue to be healthy and fit, do you discipline to eat well, sleep early and exercise? In fact the hardest to guard is our mouth and words because it is the easiest gate for the enemy to enter when we carelessly speak negatively. It requires deeper devotion, relationship, intentional discipleship, spiritual discipline and close intimacy with God with the fear of God. Wisdom speaks,”Whoever would foster love covers over an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.”Proverbs 17:9
Prayer: O Lord my God, may the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing unto you. Forgive me of my trespasses and lead me with your Holy Spirit to hide your word in my heart that I will not sin against you. Let me learn to put off the old man so the new man can be put on in Christ, as a new creation. May my life be a perpetual witness, salt and light of your divine transformation and Christlikeness, in Jesus Name, Amen.
