Today’s Inspiration:
“Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings (family).”Isaiah 58:12 NIV
This is the vision of the Highway of holiness towards Zion, the kingdom of God. There is no greater blessing than seeing the Kingdom of God manifesting in the homes and families in deeper relationship with God. Today the most lacking discipleship is not in marketplace or church but in the family, marriage and parenting. If our generation sees us pursuing wealth and neglecting them, God is not real to them. Before the children learn repentance, they have to see our repentance and change at home.
Discipleship is not a class, program or degree. It is life obeying and following Christ to build an intimate relationship with God and people closest to us in Christlikeness. It demands us to be a living sacrifice. Romans 12:1 Prosperity in the Kingdom is not money but godly relationship. The psalmist revealed,”Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. May the Lord bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. May you live to see your children’s children— peace be on Israel.”Psalms 128:1-6
Prayer: O Lord my God, my beloved abba Father, teach me to be your son and daughter, a child of God. Teach and guide us by your Holy Spirit daily in our marriage, parenting and serving to honour you first according to your holy scripture. Remove all flesh, self and pride within me at the Cross and teach me your everlasting ways to be humble, obedient and teachable, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in the family, in Jesus Name, Amen.
