18 June 2026 Word by Senior Pastor, Pastor Darien Choo
Today’s Inspiration: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” James 1:2-3 NKJV How can we find joy when we suffer abuse, betrayals and brokenness? We all know life is not a bed of roses. It is impossible for the world to find joy in difficult circumstances because the sinful flesh reacts in anger, revenge and retaliation. But when we look into the life of Christ, He reveals the spiritual joy set in the plans of God, who is greater and far beyond our understanding.
The scripture says, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 Joy comes from the obedience to the Holy Spirit and His Word, because we are the sheep and Christ is our Good Shepherd. Joseph depicts Christ when he repaid persecution with kindness, hatred with love and bitterness with forgiveness to his brothers saying, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” Genesis 50:20 Kindness is a power fruit for wisdom and breakthroughs.
Prayer: O Lord my God, may your wisdom guide and lead me through difficult times and challenges. Let my joy be always found in you, my fountain of everlasting life. Only you can satisfy my soul. Forgive me of all anguish and bitterness. Cleanse and sanctify my heart and soul with your love and kindness. Let I not walk according to ways of world and the flesh but walk according to your word and by your Holy Spirit, who heals my heart and binds up all wounds. May my spirit bear spiritual fruit in all seasons, in Jesus Name, Amen.
