Today’s Inspiration: “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 NIV Our salvation is not a destination but a process of predestination from God. He didn’t just save our souls but chose our souls and reveals the identity of His people as His priests who minister to the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ.
Today in the church we do not lack the teaching of the word, spiritual gifts or missional work. What we lack most is the teaching of Prayer. The will of God in our lives are manifested in the language of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, there is no power in prayer because it is He who leads us into the depths of God’s presence, power and wisdom. Jesus said, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” John 14:26 Prayer is tuning and quietening our soul to God’s divine voice and the working of His Spirit.
Prayer: O Lord my God, may the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be pleasing unto you. Lead me into your everlasting ways and let my mind be aligned to your will daily in prayer, petition and thanksgiving in my heart by your Spirit. Lead me not into temptation and deliver me from all evil. Guide me with your marvelous light and walk in thy righteousness all the days of my life, in Jesus Name, Amen.
