Today’s Inspiration:

“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”James 1:4 NIV

God does not mould us, shape us and strengthen us in times of peace, comfort and self sufficiency, for there is no requirement for faith. Rather it is in times of tests, trials and even tribulations, prayer altars are raised, knees are bent and heads are bowed. Our full dependency, trust and inner resolve in Christ are forged in the baptism of His Spirit and fire.

Apostle James said, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3 Such joy does not reside on self, things or people but in Christ alone. Faith is to do what God wants you to do despite of not knowing what is the road ahead. Without faith, there is no fruitfulness because it’s only faith that is able to please God. Hebrews 11:6 For blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12

Prayer: O Lord my God, you said, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Lead me with your wisdom and your word that moulds and refines me in times of tests. Give me strength to persevere and to walk by faith and not by sight. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows, in Jesus Name, Amen.
