Today’s Inspiration:
“If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11 NIV
Our tiredness, weariness and dryness are mainly due to the fact that we are using our own strength, will and flesh, rather than being led by the Holy Spirit and His Word, fully dependent on God in our personal prayer and worship time with Him alone. Time to come back to the will of God in surrender.
Our waiting time is not wasted time with God, especially in difficult times of financial struggles, sickness or brokenness. Likewise you can also be lost, conceited and lukewarm when you think you have everything in control. When there is no sacrifice at the altar, there is no fire or rain like the Israelites with a broken altar and drought. Before the wonders of God can manifest in our lives we have to first restore the broken altar like Elijah. 1 Kings 18:30 A broken and contrite spirit and heart, coming to Him in full dependency, He will not despise. Busyness and lukewarmness are idolatry when we no longer put God first. Convenience, comfort, and complacency in the flesh are killer of faith, fire and fervency in the Spirit. Matthew 6:33 Without commitment there is no covenant.
Prayer: O Lord my God, break every idols in my life that has replace my time with you. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble You will keep me safe in your dwelling; You will hide me in the shelter of Your sacred tent and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at Your sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord, in Jesus Name, Amen.
