Today’s Inspiration:

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”John 4:23-24 NIV

The objective of worship is not just singing songs or dancing or playing instruments. It is total surrender, obedience and yielding to Holy Spirit. You can’t build an altar without a sacrifice and without sacrifice there is no fire in our spiritual life and growth.

In the Old Testament the worship is giving our best sacrifice to God as worship at the brazen altar. But in the New Testament, it is no longer with animals but self as a living sacrifice unto God, which Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God was revealed as the lamb of God at the Cross of Calvary. Without giving ourselves to God, there is no deep spiritual intimacy. He is not looking at performance or perfection. He wants us as His sons and daughters, whom we can tell everything to. Without the Spirit, there is no truth. Only with truthfulness, can there be transformation. Put God first.

Prayer: O Lord my God, “In view of your mercy, I offer my body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—And let this be my true and proper worship unto you. Let me not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of my mind with your word of eternal life. Guide me Holy Spirit that I will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will, in Jesus Name, Amen.
