Today’s Inspiration: “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Romans 12:1 NIV Christianity is not religion or just being an attendee in Church. Faith is not a byword which is nice as an icing on a cake. Christ didn’t come to this earth just to give us what we want but to give Himself as a living sacrifice to defeat sin and death at the Cross and with His resurrection.
A Christian life is a journey and process of learning how to be a living sacrifice. Without sacrifice there is no love, for without the Cross, there is no power in Christianity. Jesus paid it all and to be His disciples, one has to deny themselves, carry the Cross and follow Him. Luke 9:23 The Bible reveals that God doesn’t want half or partial of our hearts, like a double minded person who is unstable and not able receive from the Lord. James 1:7-8 Learning to give oneself fully to Christ turns a believer into a true disciple of Christ.
Prayer: O Lord my God, “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing. I choose surrender all to you as a living sacrifice. Take me, mold me and use me as your workmanship in Jesus Name, Amen.
