Today’s Inspiration: Spiritual rest can only be found in the obedience to God’s timeless truth in His word. It is the sons of obedience that will inherit the kingdom of God, His favor and blessings. 1 Peter 1:14 Disobedience always bring worldliness to a soul but it is holiness that will bring obedience in our spirit man. Disobedience is a curse because its root is rebellion and we know in scripture, it is witchcraft.

King Saul was an example, that despite waiting for prophet Samuel to do the priest work, he did it because of the fear of man. Eventually he even seek spiritist of occult and died in battle by his own sword. Hence, obedience is better than sacrifice, the Bible speaks clearly. 1 Samuel 15:22 When one is walking and living by the word of God, our identity is found through obedience of the scriptures because we are the children of God, whom He disciplines, corrects and loves. When we don’t discipline our children, there is no true love and parenting. We too have to be disciplined spiritually to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in order to lead by example to disciple. The older we are the more humble and teachable we need to be following Christlikeness.

Prayer: O Lord my God, forgive me of any disobedience to your word and may the righteousness of Christ lead me in your everlasting ways. Sanctify me with your truth by your Holy Word. May I fear God and not fear man, obeying God and not please man. My identity is found in Christ alone and not from the world. My hope is found in the glory of Christ alone in the kingdom of God. Set me apart as sons and daughters of obedience to be revealed, in Jesus Name, Amen.
